Manila: Jeepneys, Chinatown and Jose Rizal

I had forgotten quite how ubiquitous jeepneys are in Manila. They throng the roads, bus stations and petrol pumps, crowding out everything else. There are similar, if less extravagant, vehicles in Bangkok (called ‘song-tau’ in Thai) but since the introduction of the metro and the skytrain they have become something of an endangered species.
